Welcome to...'Woodham Ferrers Water Ski Club'

Situated inland on the River Crouch, 10 miles from Chelmsford, we are a non-profit making friendly club with superb facilities for a boat owning members, their families and crew.
We are affiliated to the 'British Water Ski Federation' and offer launching facilities 365 days a year. Membership includes traingin and testing for the 'Ski Boats Drivers Award' Sheme. Required at many locations.
We have a large Sheltered dedicated ski area down river, complete with two pontoons, a shingle beach and slalom course.
Further Benifit include a large club house, with private car/trailer including LPG fuel. Changing facilities with showers and a purpose built concrete launching ramp. Wash down bays are also available for boat cleaning and engine flushing.
We offer a range of club nights throughout the year, including barbeques, camping weekends, training weekends, and live bands.

  • A concrete launch ramp allowing easy launching and retrieval of boats which is big enough to launch / retrieve 2 boats simultaneously. This ramp has been designed at the appropriate angle so that you do not need to submerge any part of your car into the water. Secure storage for your car and trailer whilst enjoying a great day on the water.


  • A dedicated ski area for club members only. This area is well protected and offers two pontoons, a slalom course and beach area. The Ski area is around 1 mile long by 1/4 mile wide.


  • LPG, If your boat has been converted to run on LPG, the club has invested in a storage tank and offers fuel at reasonable prices.


  • Wash down bays, After an enjoyable day out on the water, three concrete wash down bays are available for you to use to clean your boat, gear and flush your engine with clean water. The Club house benefits from having changing facilities for both male and female members with hot showers and toilets.


  • Also in the club house there are 2 kitchens available for members to make a hot drink with a large seating area upstairs. The clubhouse also boasts a new large veranda which may be used by members.


  • Becoming a member of the club automatically makes you a member of the British Waterski Federation. We also include the Ski Boat Drivers Award for all new members. This scheme is widly recognised across the UK and europe and is becoming the recognised standard level of competance for our club and many others. This course if taken independantly could cost upto £150.


  • The club is run by members for it's members, which arange a varied events calender throuought the year, including barbeques, club coaching and camping weekends, live bands, quiz nights and a dinner and dance towards the end of the year.
